Why we’ve changed …
… (more or less) from CruxBridge Media (CBM) to OmniSolus, and combine outbound sales and Internet marketing?
If you don’t mind, this is going to be what’s called a “we we” post, or one where I talk more about the company, than about the reader. In other words, I’m breaking the cardinal rule of blogging. I feel, though, that a full explanation is needed. I hope you’ll see why I’ve made this change, and how it can help your company.
A partial vision
When I first launched CBM earlier this year, I was very excited to help businesses with any to all of their needs in Internet lead and demand generation. While this business model has been successful, these days anything that’s seen as “marketing” translates to “expense” in the mind of a chief executive officer (CEO), business owner and/or manager. And these days, “expenses” is a dirty word. I’m talking a very dirty word.
As a business owner myself, I fully empathize with those feelings. Heck, I feel like that with quite of the services I have to use.
For my company to truly succeed, I needed to add services to it.
Bring them revenues, and they’ll talk
I knew I had to focus the business more on what brings money into a company, rather than aligning my company with the dreaded marketing/expense combination. While many marketing companies attempt to focus on that by simple messaging, most CEOs/business owners can see right through such wording. And believe me, they do see through it … all the time.
So I teamed with my new partner R. Gore Bolton, who has built many successful businesses and has won awards as a highly effective CEO, to add fully outsourced sales services to CBM’s product portfolio.
When we were laying out the new CBM, though, we immediately realized that the name “CruxBridge Media” would reinforce the image of a traditional marketing company that costs a company money before it starts bringing in revenue. (By the way, I wholly disagree with that thinking, but it’s pretty prevalent nowadays.)
After about a month’s worth of discussions between us and a lot of brainstorming, we came up with the name “OmniSolus.” Unlike some companies that come up with meaningless company names, ours actually has a definition:
omnisolus [OM knee soul us] n – all-in-one outsourced sales and marketing. From Latin omni (all) and solus (“one”, loosely).
OmniSolus offers fully outsourced sales and Internet marketing services for our client-portfolio companies. We concentrate on small- to mid-sized business-to-business (B2B) companies, as well as manufacturers that produce consumer products. The best place to find out how we work, and how we can help those businesses, is by going to the OmniSolus Website to find out more about our outbound sales and Internet marketing services.
Opportunities for salespeople, too
With the launch of the new company, I’m very excited that OmniSolus will work with professional, independent sales representatives. Our Independent Sales Representatives (ISRs) will be able to offer our brand-portfolio companies to their professional networks, as well as “hit the streets” via telemarketing and door-knocking to sell our brands via more-traditional means.
OmniSolus offers a professional, high-integrity sales environment, with quality products for our ISRs to offer to their clients and/or prospects.
Our ISRs will also be able to bring other high-performing professionals into OmniSolus. We’re working on a referral-payment plan for those ISRs, too.
That being said, I want to be absolutely, 100% clear on one important aspect of our business: OmniSolus is not multi-level marketing. We have no downlines. We won’t pressure you to call friends, family, professional work associates, etc. and mislead them into coming to a sales presentation, or to work nights and weekends to build your downline.
We’ll encourage our reps to leverage their networks for leads, referrals and sales, but in a highly professional way. Heck, we’d hope those salespeople would already be doing that on their own.
If you’d like to offer high-quality companies to your clients (present and future), or sell our portfolio clients in your local markets, contact us about our sales opportunity.
What About CruxBridge Media?
CBM will continue on as a Web development and strategy company, but only for individual projects … whether they are new Websites or site relaunches. All of our other inbound lead- and demand-generation services move over to OmniSolus.
The CBM Website is undergoing changes to reflect the new direction of the company. It’s not all done as of this writing, though, because launching the new OmniSolus is taking a lot of time. Hopefully the CBM site will be complete by mid-August.
