Most businesses and organizations want to get the most out of their Websites and other Internet-related marketing efforts, to generate qualified leads. What inbound marketing does is put a name and philosophy to the disparate processes and methods used to acquire these leads.

A recent report from the company that provides us (and our clients) with a centralized inbound-marketing platform contains a lot of great information on how this method is not only working, but how it kicks the pants off of traditional “outbound marketing” (advertising, direct mail, cold calling, etc.).

Quick and Effective Videos

Who says you need to have a Web video that would be the envy of George Lucas or Steven Spielberg? I sure don’t.

If you have the budget, then … sure, go for a big, glitzy production. But even the spots that have high-quality graphics, audio, music and so on in them can fail miserably, because they don’t have the right kind of actual content. It’s that idea that is very easy to bring to video, and it can be done inexpensively as well.

I recently found a video that exemplifies this concept. This gentleman has picked up on how to very effectively use video to build his brand and his status as an expert in his market. You can see what I’m talking about after the jump.

Fox News and Social Media – Not So Much

Now here’s a company that gets it just a little bit, when it comes to social media: Fox News and its Fox Nation social-media effort. David Bullock and Jay Deragon discuss the new site, in an effort to highlight the best practices of large brands as they look to effectively engage social media as a viable channel for communication and content distribution. They’ll also illustrate how new media can be utilized by small- to mid-sized business.

If you’ve got some time (about a half hour), I’d recommend that you watch this video. It’s really informative.
